My therapeutic style evokes calm and supports clients to find safety and the wisdom that is already inherent within each individual. My role as a therapist is to provide a safe and supportive environment using empathy and trauma informed treatments to inspire clients to heal as they seek their own strengths and potential. I have a kindness and candor that inspires clients to learn coping skills and secure a foundation for a safe and healthier future.
Katherine completed her Master’s in Social Work from the Utah State University in May of 2016 and received her LCSW in 2020. Katherine has worked within the foster care and adoption settings working extensively with children and teens with neglect and abuse. Katherine opened her own private practice in March of 2020. Since that time, she has certified in Trust Based Relational Interventions at Texas Christian University and has been trained in EMDR for trauma work as well as Lifespan Integration Levels 1-4.
Katherine Turek has extensive background working with children, teens, and families. She specializes in attachment issues, and parent education when teens and children struggle within the home and at school. Katherine is also skilled at helping trauma victims find safety and personal and emotional regulation and the support they need to move forward to healthier and happier lives.
